I was tagged, yay! I was tagged by Rosie on RosieFreckleReads and this is honestly such a great tag for me.
I absolutely adore Disney. I own a lot of their DVD’s and I’m attempting to own all of them. I collect the ornaments, own many plushies and random Disney toys, have several Disney CD’s and clothes, I know so much random trivia…Disney is my autistic “special interest”, I love everything about it (I do understand it can be problematic, though).

The Book (Like the Movie) That Started it All
Favourite Debut Book from an Author
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. This should be required reading in every single school everywhere. The writing was amazing, the characters were amazing, it was very diverse and of course the heavy topics were written about in a very beautiful and heartbreaking way. If you haven’t read it yet, I don’t know what you’re waiting for, go read it!
A Diamond in the Rough
Just Like Cinderella, You Didn’t Expect Much Out of This Character in the Beginning But Turned Out to be a Total Gem
Iris from Starswept by Mary Fan. I honestly found her pretty annoying in the first half of the book and she kept missing things that were really, really obvious but she got much better by the second half and was much more likable. I’m glad I gave her, and the book, a chance.
A Book That Makes You Sleepy Or Could Not Hold Your Attention
I’m going to pick a book from my Did Not Finish pile and go with Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld. I honestly tried to read this so many times but I just can not get into it, I keep putting it down to favour something else. It’s a shame, really, because the plot and the synopsis sounded so interesting!
Under the Sea
A Book With a Water/Ocean setting
I don’t often read books like this as I’m just not a fan of ocean-y type things or beaches (excluding Moana and Lilo and Stitch, of course). The most recent one I’ve really read is History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera. This isn’t really set by the ocean but the ocean is a very heavy theme throughout the book. A dark one, but still. Might be cheating a bit with this one.
Beauty and the Books
Name a Book With the Best Bookworm/Book Lover
The Harry Potter series. Hermione Granger will always be my favourite bookworm.
The Thief and the Princess
Name a Book With an Unlikely Love Story (Either in Terms of Romance or a Book You Didn’t Expect to Love So Much)
I’ve recently started to read a comic series called Kim Reaper and I didn’t really like Kim, but loved Becca, to start with and then by the third comic I had completely fallen in love with their very rocky and wobbly relationship. They’re my favourite. I know comics aren’t really a book, but it’s what popped into my head! I tend not to read romance books very often.
The Real Life Princess
Name a Book That is Based on a Real Life Person You Want to Read/Have Read
Probably the same answer as Rosie, I’m really excited for Emma Blackery’s new book! I have watched her videos and supported her music for years, it would only make sense to support her books too! I genuinely really like her voice, though, and I can’t wait to see what kind of things she has to say.
The Princess That Saves Her Country
Name the Fiercest Heroine You Know
I’m going to name another character that isn’t from a book but a comic series I’ve recently been really, really into called Tomboy by Mia Goodwin. The main character, Addison, is really feminine and cute/pretty but still really kickass and I really like that.
The Princess with the Coolest and Most Diverse Crew
Name a Diverse Book Whether it is a Diverse Set of Characters or Just Diverse in General
I don’t think I’m allowed to mention The Hate U Give again so I’ll go with The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli. Diversity is just so effortlessly thrown in there. The main character is fat and Jewish, her love interest is fat. She has two mothers in a f/f relationship, her sister is in a f/f relationship with an American Korean, etc. It’s just so diverse without even trying and I love it for that.
Let Your Long Hair Down
Name the Longest Book You’ve Read
Probably IT by Stephen King but considering I’ve never actually finished it, I’m not sure it counts, but I did finish the first Game of Thrones which was almost 850 pages.
I Determine my Own Fate
A Book Where There is No Love Story/Interest or Isn’t Needed
Most of the books I read are books without romance or a love interest. Lately, I have been reading books with romance in them though!
Anna and Elsa
A Book in a Winter/Cold Setting
Sister by Rosamund Lupton. I don’t remember a huge amount of what this book is about but her sister went missing and she tries to figure out where she is and who took her. It was really good from what I can remember, I gave it four stars.
How Far I’ll Go
A Character That Goes on a Journey
The Vegetarian by Han Kang wasn’t a literal journey but a really well developed metaphorical one! The main character never gets a voice herself, but she is transforming herself to be as close to nature as possible and the book just gets weirder and weirder…it’s definitely a memorable journey for her!
There you go! I don’t have anyone to tag, so if you want to do this then you can and if you want to make it look like someone tagged you, then say I did! 😀
Until next time,
