I saw these meme on thelittlebookowl and I wanted to give it a try! I recently started college (yesterday, in fact!) but came home early today due to having a timetable that isn’t completed yet, but should be by next week. I’m in from 9am – 4pm five days a week currently! Yep, that’s a lot of time.
This meme consists of completing these three questions:

What Are You Currently Reading?
I’m reading 27 Hours, an eARC I requested from NetGalley. It’s a science-fiction, young adult novel centered around several perspectives fighting “monsters” that should hibernate when dayside arrives.
The plot is, honestly, really confusing to me. I think this might just be because I’m tired and that I’m not very far into the novel right now, but I have no idea what’s happening. A lot of action is going on, but I’m not sure the direction it’s going in, if that makes sense? I really like the characters and the writing style, though, and there isn’t much world building so far but I’m hoping that’ll improve a little later on!
I have heard from several people that there is racism in this, and as a white person it’s not really my place to comment on it so I’m going to take their word for that and I think that’s obviously very disappointing. Otherwise, this book is very diverse – featuring a trans girl, bisexual male, gay male, an asexual male, Hispanic…lesbian, I think? Maybe bisexual, not quite clear, she is also deaf and people actively use sign language which I think is awesome!
What Did You Recently Finish Reading?
Nimona by Noelle Stevenson, which had quite the ending! I’m still honestly really confused by it and I’m not entirely sure what happened but the whole thing was adorable and action-packed and I liked it a lot. I’m really quite sad that it’s over and I don’t think a sequel is going to happen soon, but I will probably re-read it later on in life!
What Do You Plan on Reading Next?
Chameleon Moon by RoAnna Sylver! I’m not entirely sure what this book is about but I have had two mutuals of mine now talk about this non-stop! It seems to have mixed reviews but because I obviously trust their opinions, I had to pick it up when it was on sale for 99p on Amazon Kindle! It has a lot of good rep for non-binary people and people on the asexual people, which of course appeals to me a lot. I’m really excited to get to this one soon! I also have a small handful of Netgalley books that I’m looking forward to getting through!
There we have it, books I have been…around lately? I enjoyed doing this so I might make this a weekly occurrence!
Until next time,
