#EasterReadathon Wrap up

I’ve never done a readathon before. Usually, it involves reading books that I don’t own/it collides with college and I’m too busy to do it. I don’t live by a good library, nor do I earn enough money to buy a load of books for a readathon, so I’ve just never done one. I wrote a blog post talking more in detail about what it involves here, but it was basically just making a TBR and sticking to it for the duration of the readathon.

The books I chose for my TBR were:

  • To finish the second half of Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde
  • A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L’Engle
  • Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
  • Heroine Worship by Sarah Kuhn

And, even though I didn’t finish that last one, I am still currently reading it! I’m writing this post on the end of Sunday, the Readathon finishes at midnight on Sunday.

Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde

This was everything I hoped it would be! it was cute, funny and Taylor was such a lovely and relatable character. It’s not often I get to read about autistic main characters that are done well. I think this is because Jen Wilde is also autistic.

A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L’Engle

This was nothing like I thought it was going to be but, then again, I don’t really know what I was expecting. It was still pretty good, and I still want to finish the series, but I’m just confused about what happened. I’m pretty excited to see the movie.

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

Again, this was nothing like what I was expecting! I also wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did. It was, at the end of the day, a lot of teenage drama and sexiness and the occasional battle so…it was trash, but great trash.

Heroine Worship by Sarah Kuhn

I’m barely into this, not even by fifty pages, but I really liked Heroine Complex so I know I will probably love this too. The first book was told from Aveda’s assistants, Evie’s, perspective. This one is told by Aveda’s perspective, which I didn’t know going into it so that’s pretty cool!

Even though I didn’t get to every book in my TBR, I kind of expected that anyway as there’s no way I could have finished three and a half books in three days. I’m just not that quick a reader! I’m still happy about what I did manage to read, and it makes me want to try more readathons in the future

Until next time 😀
