A Book That a Certain Friend is Always Telling You to Read

My friend, Rosie (if she’s reading this, hello!) always tells me to read the Animorphs books by K.A. Applegate. She read them as a kid and she knows I like them because I like anything about animals that’s also weird. I don’t even know what they’re about, I think it’s something to do with humans turning into animals if I had to guess…

A Book That Has Been on Your TBR Forever and You Still Haven’t Read

Well, the one that would get me hated is the last book in the Harry Potter series, Deathly Hallows. But, I don’t fancy being hated today. There are a lot of books sitting on my shelves that I’ve been meaning to read but just haven’t got around to them yet. I think the one that has been on there the longest, though, is Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill. I don’t know why because I love the horror genre and it sounds right up my street but I just…haven’t.

A Book in a Series You’ve Started but Haven’t Got Around to Finishing Yet

Well, again, Harry Potter but, again, I don’t want people to hate me! There are so many series I haven’t finished because I am absolutely terrible at finishing series. I have the Narnia series, the Percy Jackson series, the Discworld series (although I don’t think I know anyone that has finished all 50+ books), Twilight, the Unfortunate Events, the list goes on… although, from this list, the one I most want to finish is Percy Jackson and the Discworld series

A Classic You’ve Always Liked the Sound of But Haven’t Actually Read

This one is absolutely Jane Eyre or Pride and Prejudice! There books are so commonly turned into rewrites as well that I’ve read but I won’t understand the references – I think what’s preventing me from reading them is that everyone knows the story and assumes everyone else does too, so there won’t be any surprises

A Popular Book That it Seems Everyone But You Has Read

For this one, I’d say anything written by Sarah.J.Mass because of how whitewashed her books are and how the only diverse people within the series are either killed off or written out – and everyone is in a relationship. Obviously, I haven’t read them so I can’t say if that’s true, but that’s pretty much the main reason why I won’t read them. Ever.

A Book That Inspired a TV/Film Adaptation That You Really Loved But Just Haven’t Read Yet!

Okay, I know the book and the TV show are entirely different and it’s almost like they’re not even the same thing, but The Haunting of Hill House is a TV show that I absolutely love and I already own that book and I’ve been meaning to read it for a while, but I just haven’t got around to it yet!

A Book You See All Over Instragram but You Just Haven’t Read Yet

I don’t actually have a book Instagram so I’m going to skip this one!

So I hope you enjoyed this tag! You might see a lot of these soon because I’m really enjoying them (sorry about that!). If you do like them, though, yay! I don’t have anyone to tag but if you want to do this then consider yourself tagged!
