Warehouse Book Haul #1

Hello! So almost every weekend I go to a book warehouse where books vary from 25p to £2 (so, of course, very very cheap!!). This does mean that I buy a lot of books that I probably don’t need and will never get around to reading, so it might make more sense just to do small book hauls throughout the month rather than one big one? Let me know if you like or don’t like this way of doing my book hauls!

Outlander
Diana Gabaldon

This was 50p and when I saw it I just had to get it! The cheapest I’ve ever seen this has been maybe £4, which is expensive for a book that I want to read but I’m not sure I’ll ever get around to reading, you know? I’m not even too sure what this is about but I sure am curious.

Wormwood
G.P.Taylor

I’m not sure what this is about but it’s the first book in a series, also 50p! I know it’s historical fantasy though, maybe? And I do really enjoy historical fantasy so I’ll probably be giving this a go sometime soon

Shadowmancer
G.P.Taylor

Although they have the same cover and the same author, these are actually two different series and this is the first in another series. Although…even though it was only 50p, I should have checked the ratings on Goodreads first. Less than an average of a three star rating. Yikes. I’ll give it a chance but that doesn’t give me high expectations.

Assassins Apprentice
Robin Hobb

I’ve wanted to read her books for AGES, ever since I first heard about her a few years ago. This is a first in a series that I’ve been recommended. This was also 50p. I’m really, really excited for this one but I’m not sure when I’ll get around to it.

The Eye of the World
Robert Jordan

I’ve tried reading The Wheel of Time series before, as a recommendation from an ex boyfriend of mine, but I couldn’t get into it. Although he is the same person that tried to get me into Marvel and that didn’t work but once I found it myself, I ended up being a huge fan of the MCU so…who knows? Maybe I’ll love it the second time around. This one was £1!

Truckers, Diggers, and Wings
Terry Pratchett

This was supposed to be books I bought as an edition to my Discworld collection, seeing as they were 50p each, but turns out they’re a trilogy! I’m not that upset about it, though, because I really like his writing so I think I’ll enjoy this trilogy anyway

The Interrogation Of Ashala Wolf
Ambelin Kwaymullina

This one I almost jumped for joy when I saw, and brand new for only 50p. How amazing is that?! I’ve wanted this book for a really long time now but the Amazon prices are too expensive and I always end up prioritising other books instead. I’m really excited for this one so I’m going to try and get to it soon.

Bared to You
Sylvia Day

I’m reading Fifty Shades Of Grey at some point to see how bad it is, and people recommend this series instead so I want to compare the two to see if the distinction is justified at some point in the future. It’s really not something my audience will be interested in but I’m sure it’ll be amusing anyway.

I bought some more books to add to my Discworld collection but I think I’ll add my Discworld collection in another blog post, even though it’s quite a few books away from being complete.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this new way of doing things. I think I prefer it a lot better.
